Alive or Dead

alive but dead
no heart nor soul
theres just an...
emptiness that co habitants my body

&when i open my eyes;
to view this "proclaimed"- beautiful world
all i see is red
red because beyond this emptiness
all i feel is anger and hatred
for everyone who-walks this"proclaimed" beautiful world

i just want to make them feel the pain
i feel
the pain that
just won't go away

but see i didnt always feel like this
i was that innocent but not so innocent girl
the one who loved being with family during the week-
but couldnt stray away from the liqour bottles on the week-ends
and i had friends and
then i met you
--you broke me down and
-took control of my mind body and soul
and soon i couldnt stand to be away from you-you were
my addiction and

and then everything came crashing down
cus the last thing i remember is you&your
friends taking what little innocence i had left in me
-i lay helplessly watching you insert here&him insert there
while the others just laugh as i wince in pain

&now as i lay on the bathroom floor.i wonder what
i could have done differently but the pain is overwhelming
&i cant think straight
so i cut;cut-releasing myself of all the pain
& i'm i'm happy

the happiest i've been in a while...
then i suddenly get distracted;glancing at all my veins
i see the blood seaping out
&iv'e realized what i've done...

so i lay back,closing my eyes
waiting for gods angels to take me
cus me being dead is the only way ill truly be happy
...so now im...
dead but alive

Can you turn my black roses red?
So lively and vibrant, glistening with happiness
Like they use to be

Instead of colorless
No soul &heartless
This state of black rose
Brings me misery

So I ask you
Can you turn my black roses red?
As I lay looking upon the stars
-in the still of the night,
I ponder on this one question
the question that you can only answer

-but before I ask you
I must ask myself…
Do I deserve to shine again,
making the night bright-sparkling in the sky

Will my roses stay red?
or will you damage them
more,
keeping them black-
until another comes along…
to put me through this again

Considering these thoughts
I must change my question…
-with you, will my roses stay black,
or will you bring them life….again?

i say iv'e moved on
but is there a chance im still holding on?

i say im better off without you
but is there a place in me,
where your kisses linger?
your fingerprints rest?
where your whisphers softly echo?

i found myself asking all these questions
these questions that were contradicting my statements

i mean i was completely fine until we started 2reminise
about the air quote "good ol days"
...memories we shared began to fill my head
making me realize how much i missed you&i
why must i love you after everything you've done?
rain drops formed and began to pour from my eyes

&suddenly i felt all these feelings that i once had
come rushing back
along with the love and the hate
the joy and the pain

it makes me wonder
wonder about giving us another chance
but who's to say you won't hurt me again?
who's to say you won't keep lying?
playing these child like games?

these feelings came back so fast
did i really lose them? or were they
just locked away?
in a place where only of you remain

so now i have to admit
when i say im over you,im not over us
when i say iv'e moved on,im still holding on
your kisses linger
your finger prints rest
& still i hear the echos of you whispering those
three words

with you i was complete.
without you i was lost.
oh my how quickly the time has passed.
when looking back at us all i can do is laugh.
laugh at how vulnerable i was.
